Ishan Kishan Narrowly Misses Century On County Debut, Dismissed For 87
In typical fashion, the left-hander unleashed his aggression as he smashed 12 fours and a six to finish with 87 off 98 balls
Ishan Kishan had a successful yet heartbreaking start to his County stint with Nottinghamshire, getting dismissed for 87 as he missed a debut ton by 13 runs.
Signed on a short-term deal by Notts, Kishan walked in at 225/4 on day one, with his side in a pretty good position. In typical fashion, the left-hander unleashed his aggression as he smashed 12 fours and a six to finish with 87 off 98 balls.
Among the Yorkshire bowlers was New Zealand’s William O’Rourke and England spinner Dom Bess.
Kishan, on 87, went for an expansive pull off a half-tracker from Bess but ended up hitting it straight to the fielder at short mid-wicket.
David Malan and Jonny Bairstow are also playing for Yorkshire, while Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas is the other overseas player for Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire are, as it stands, top of division one, with four wins, one loss and two draws.
