Opening batter KL Rahul is set to feature in the second four-day game between England Lions and India A, which begins from June 6 in Northampton.
Notably, as per many reports, Rahul had specially requested the BCCI to allow him to be a part of the game after he was unable to practice due to the onset of Monsoon rains in Bengaluru and Mumbai. Apart from Rahul, pacer Akash Deep is set to feature in the second four-day game as well.
Meanwhile, Indian Test skipper Shubman Gill and his Gujarat Titans (GT) opening partner Sai Sudharsan will not be featuring in the India A team in Northampton as both will now travel to England along with the main squad that lands on June 6.

Although the Indian bowlers had to toil really hard on the slow and flat surface as England Lions scored 587 in response to the 557 scored by India A in the first innings. However, Anshul Kamboj impressed with his penetrative new ball bowling, and the team management would keep a close eye on him from here on.
Meanwhile, in the second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Jurel and Nitish Kumar Reddy also scored half centuries and got to spend some time in the middle before the game was drawn with India A on 241/2 in just 41 overs.
