LSG’s INR 11 Crore Pace Sensation Set For IPL Comeback

LSG’s wait ends as their INR 11 crore pace sensation, Mayank Yadav, is set for a grand comeback and will join the franchise on April 15 (Tuesday). The 22-year-old, who has spent a large portion of the year at BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE), will mark his first appearance since October 2024.
According to India Today, the right-arm pacer, who only played four games in IPL 2024, has been cleared fit and will now join the franchise. The same report, however, added that the franchise will take the final call.
The speedster spent much of the last six months trying to recover from his lumber stress injury, having represented India in the shortest format. While LSG’s head coach, Justin Langer, revealed that the franchise is hoping for the pacer to mark his comeback sometime during the season, the return date has been confirmed.
With Akash Deep struggling to find momentum, the speedster will walk straight into LSG’s playing XI, which will strengthen their bowling unit. Despite a weakened bowling unit, LSG have found different match-winners to help themselves in the top four after six games.
