In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 trade window, that will begin from July 4th, 2025 onwards, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who finished in the eighth position in the points table, will look to fill in the gaps in their squad. To do so, they would look to sign these three crucial members in the window.

Abishek Porel did not have a great season with Delhi Capitals, scoring a solitary fifty for his team in the 13 matches that he played. KKR are on the lookout for a good Indian wicketkeeper batter and who better than Porel, who has great experience of playing at Eden Gardens, KKR’s home venue, as it is also the home ground of the Bengal team, for which Porel plays his domestic cricket.

The Delhi pacer, who was brilliant in both the Vijay Hazare Trophy (11 wickets in 6 games) and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (11 wickets in 8 games), got a deal with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2025. However, Prince Yadav bowled in only six matches for the franchise, remaining underutilised.

The Knight Riders lack an Indian pacer who is also a great wicket-taking option, with Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora proving to be inadequate.
Thus, Yadav could be a great addition to the KKR side and LSG would hardly have a problem as they already have three great pacers in Avesh Khan, Akash Deep and William O’Rourke and other options include Shamar Joseph and Akash Singh as well.
Rasikh Dar is yet another wicket-taking option. Although he is not in the same league as Prince Yadav in terms of speed and impact, Dar is a great asset in terms of accuracy, as he can bowl according to the field and is a great exponent of the knuckle ball. He could be the third pace bowling option if KKR decide to play Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and two overseas batters and goes with an all-out Indian pace bowling attack.

Since Dar has previously been with the KKR set-up, it would be easy for him to settle in.
