Jasprit Bumrah vs Glenn McGrath: Who Has a Better Test Career?

Bumrah is neck-and-neck with the Australian great after 46 Tests

Arguably one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time, Glenn McGrath has had a career that many can only dream of. Until James Anderson overtook him, McGrath held the record for having the most Test wickets for a pacer with his 563 scalps at 21.64.

Will any other pacer come remotely close? Among active cricketers, the next on the list are Mitchell Starc with 391 scalps and Kagiso Rabada with 336.

Now, let's take a closer look at the No. 1-ranked Test bowler, Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian speedster has 210 wickets at an average of 19.60, which is the best among any bowler with at least 200 Test scalps.

However, does Bumrah have a better career than McGrath after 46 Tests?

If you think that's impressive, Bumrah is not too far behind.

While fitness remains a major concern for Bumrah, he is certainly on his way to having an all-time great career. And that's why, he is being protected at the moment, thereby likely to play just three out of the five Tests against England, especially after the toll his body took after the Test series against Australia late last year.
